Frequently Asked Questions

Q: You talk about a nutrition plan, I thought it was dangerous to diet during pregnancy?

A: Yes you are absolutely right. Pregnancy is not a time to be dieting or losing weight. However it is of utmost importance to the health of you and your baby that your nutrition is as finely tuned to your needs as possible. Pregnancy places huge demands on our bodies and we must provide it with correct and abundant nutrients to ensure our health and a strong healthy baby.

The nutrition plan that the 9 month club uses focuses on the best sources of nutrients and energy for your body and tells you exactly how to achieve optimal health through choosing the right foods for you and your baby and how to balance food groups and portions.  The meal plans are by no means restrictive, nor will you be counting calories, however you will find out exactly what certain foods do or don’t do for you and the reasons why certain things like chemicals, processing and non-organic GM fed meat will posion your system.

Q: I’ve never exercised before, can I start a programme now that I’m pregnant?

A: The protocols on how cautious pregnant women should be about exercise have changed dramatically over the last 30 years. The original guidelines from the 70’s said that you should stick to light walking, never raise your arms overhead, and avoid all weight bearing activity. Thankfully this old-fashioned and extremely conservative view has been radically updated with the substantial move forwards in research and scientific evidence.

Low risk women are now advised to start an exercise programme as early as possible to ensure that you are as healthy and as fit as possible for the changes ahead.  Weight bearing activity is strongly advised as you need be strong enough to cope with your growing size and be prepared for labour with strong muscles to help you push your baby out more easily. If you are brand new to exercise don’t worry there’s a beginners plan to suit you and it starts very gradually so you won’t feel  like it’s too much for you to deal with.

If you have specific conditions which place you outside of the low risk category and are likely to affect the health of you and your baby whilst exercising then please consult your physician before starting a physical exercise programme. If you are unsure whether you are low risk, please check with your physician.

Q: I work full time and have a busy homelife. How will I fit this into my already hectic schedule?

A: The 9 month club system is designed with you in mind. So many of us have busy and hectic lives right now that we find it impossible to take an hour out of our day 3 times a week to exercise. I’m a health and fitness coach by trade and even I would struggle to find time to fit in 3 hours a week on top of my busy workload!

There is absolutely no reason that you can’t condense your workouts into 15 minute slots, which is exactly what I’ve done for you. You’ll cover all the essential body parts to keep you sexy, self-confident and superfit throughout your 9 months but in a fraction of the time that most other pregnancy workout programmes on the market suggest.

I’ve also made your nutrition plans easy and quick to prepare and you’ll learn how to have a healthy, balanced and nutritious meal on the table in 15 minutes or less. There’s even a grocery list to make your shopping experience quick and painless!

You may even find you are spending less time looking after your health than before but with much better results!

Q: I’ve tried hundreds of different fitness books, dvd’s and exercise programmes before and I always start out really motivated but I lose it after just a few weeks. How is this going to be any different?

A: I hear you! I’ve seen this scenario umpteen times with clients, friends and relatives. You join a gym, buy a new Pilates dvd or start a new diet – you’re really good for the first month or so but then you start to lose interest, something comes up, you fall ill etc, and you just can’t get back into it again.

This is exactly why I didn’t want to write just another e-book, produce another exercise dvd to add to your collection gathering dust, or give you all the information and then leave you to your own devices.

There are going to be things you are unsure of, days when you feel rubbish and obstacles that stand in your way. Without support it’s hard and sometimes impossible to overcome these things.

That’s why the 9 month club is a Complete Pregnancy Support System. The downloadable e-book, mp3’s and videos are only a small part of it. The fundamental aspect of this implementation system is the daily support you get from me to keep you on track.

With my daily encouragement, support, advice and tips sitting in your email inbox every day, suddenly the obstacles that seemed far too big dwindle away to nothing. You’ll also have 24/7 access to me through your free membership to the 9 month club community and an exclusive forum to post your questions, stories and experiences. You also get to  share with other mum’s to be in exactly the same position as you and make new friends in a supporting, encouraging environment.

Q: How can one programme suit everyone? What if I follow the programme and it doesn’t work for me?

A: Yes everyone is different but there are underlying principles central to the health and wellbeing of our biological makeup that do not change regardless of your personality, lifestyle and history.

We start by building strong foundations, then from there we fine tune and specifically tweak the programme to fit your needs. For example everybody will be slightly different in their fitness level so there are very specific guidelines on how to fit the programme to your individual needs.

Every pregnancy comes with different symptoms – sickness, fatigue, cravings, muscle tightness and cramps....even if you’ve been pregnant before. The 9 month club will guide you through alternatives to deal with different eventualities, so that the programme becomes yours and tailored to your individual needs.

If after all this, you’ve followed the programme for a while and you’re still not convinced, you have a 60 day money back guarantee, so you can try it without risk.
